A Transformed Life - Different Perspectives and Closing Remarks
Below are the discussion questions we will be reviewing in our study on Wednesday night (6/15/2016, 6pm at the church building). Please review the below and be prepared to discuss them this Wednesday. If you would like to read a summary of the sermon, or watch the video, please click here.
- When we think of Christian Transformation, we usually think about the changes that happen soon after we become a Christian. What about those who have been Christians for years? Does transformation still happen? If so, in what ways?
- James H. Aughey writes, "Holiness consists of three things - separation from sin, dedication to God, transformation into Christ's image. It is in vain that we talk about the last, unless we know something experimentally about the first." What does he mean by this, and what do you think of this idea?
- In Mark's lesson, he talked about how the Word of God is like a scalpel. Compare/contrast how a scalpel can be used to benefit a person's life versus how the Word of God can be used to benefit a person's life.
- Are you living "A Transformed Life" or do you still have some work to do? What are some practical things you can do to work towards that transformation God wants you to achieve?
